Like Ive said many times....wearing paintball armor (neoprene) is for wussies who cant stand gettin hit and having welts...in that case, youre definitely in the wrong sport....join a chess or checkers club and leave the paintballing to the people who really enjoy in receiving and giving welts!

I personaly would wear the gloves, because where I play, we play very close range (sometimes under 5 feet) and we play hot.

So yeah, Id rather wear some metal on my hands than a broken hand.

I wear gloves too and knee pads as well but, Im not afraid to recieve ball hits on my chest or any where on my upper body...only the weak wear body armor, unless were all using real bullets....then I would wear body armor (the real ones).

am I the only one picturing how stupid this idea is? All I see is some kids tip toeing around in some huge chain mail armor like a handicap lost at a renaissance festival.

Too heavy, bulky and noisy. Also, the increased break % would not be worth the protection. If you really want padding, just buy a protector.

Sheesh.....The only protect a player needs to have some fun under the sun while gettin pelted wit paintballs....a mask, gloves, knee pads, elbow pads (optional) and a cup (optional), wearing any kind of body armor for paintball doesnt make that person become a better player.

if you're a wuss, then wear armor. the chainmail is full of hard points on which paint will break way too easy, as stated above. plus, a good shirt of chainmail weighs in at about 25 lbs. so, if you wanna train for the track team, and wanna build your legs, then by all means, do it. but otherwise, i say no.

like usafpilot07 said, if your giong to go with armor than get something dye or any armor meant for paintball, with chainmail (which i have never worn) i would guess that you would have to wear a chirt underneath and your saying that you would put a shirt over it, I would think that wearing 3 layers would get really hot and especially since summer is comin up you'll be dying out there

How many times do you guys have to reiterate "not to wear
chainmail" to convince him? Dudes, if Garnsh Ghst wants
to play with mail, by all means let him find out for
himself the hazards. Who knows? It might help him
become a paintball MVP.
Here I come...

I've never considered a cup optional.
