Mill out a section in the rear sight area for the QEV to sit in, then paint it black. Problem solved. Looking good so far!

Actually, the airways are perpendicular to each other, so the QEV on the top (which is actually the left side of the ram) lines up with the cocking slot. Widen the slot a bit, and it will slip right through, and allow room for the hoses to work. This is actually coming together quite nicely so far! Almost like it's falling together. Which means something's about to go seriously wrong... Edit: Crap. That means I'm going to need to relocate the battery... Edited by DeTrevni - 09 February 2008 at 3:18am |

Jeez, that is a uniquely 2 wayed ram, never seen them two wayed from the front. You realize that the placement of the 10-32 holes for 2 ways are placed in the front and back for a reason yes? One has to push air forward, and the other returns. I'm not sure that the way you did it will allow for correct ram operation.

To quote from a web comic I really like (Cyanide and Happiness), "You'd think so, but you'd be wrong." The bottom 10-32 hole leads to an air channel that fees air to the back of the ram, pushing the ram forward. The 10-32 hole on the left of the ram is straight through, leading to the front of the ram, pushing it back again. No worries! Tallen, I plan on using the Universal T-Board, which is about the size of a nickel, so I may be able to place the battery in the grip, and the solenoid above that. The board may fit snugly behind the trigger. If that doesn't work, I'll get an inline Palmers regulator that feeds directly into the valve, and fit the battery in the foregrip. I forgot who did that mod, but I'd give credit to him for that one. Edited by DeTrevni - 09 February 2008 at 2:36pm |

Well, up next is going to be the milling. Then I'm gonna purchase the board. Only costs $50.

Updated once more. Now I need to think about how I want this to look cosmetically.

After screwing up one foregrip, I figured it out on the 2nd! I won't post pics yet, until I get the rest of the wiring done.

Dont get a SD universal board...then there would be way too many ebolted 98 customs out there with them. Seeing as how both Macgyver and I both have ours in hand.
