I couldn't have said it better! Its not only a good way to get rid of unsportsmanlike players, but it also follows history pretty closely... lol

Nothing sucks more than being shot by your own team!

yeah, iv done a few Russian WWII and 1 and German WWII reenactments, and in the Russian ones, they "execute" Russians with other equipment, or any one doing something againt "war law". its pretty cool, they guy yells what the soldier has done wrong, points a pistol to his head (at a distance) and fires a blank. then he falls over like hes dead. you guys shoud do the same (with no paint ofcoarse). we also do full charges and everything. very fun.

While I don't think it would be concivible to show it to everyone there, everyone should watch it on the night before (especially those on the Russian side.) And if you're playing with the russians, be sure to watch the first scene to learn why running away may not be the best thing to do...

Also, if anyone is really interested in the battle of Stalingrad, without any Hollywood 'interpretation', read Geoffrey Roberts' book Victory at Stalingrad. It may be a little dry for some people, but it really explains how important this battle was for the future of our world.

As a side note, I was thinking about bringing a little boombox or something and blaring out the Soviet National Anthem from our base. Any thoughts on this??

How much money do you spend at one of these scenario's?? I can only imagine that it would be high for paint and what not.  Also how will the scenario work? One giant force vs. another (ex. you have raids, capture missions, etc.) or will it just be like a rec game except with a lot more people??  Just wondering.

its $35 admission, $72 a case, $5 for 7 fills, and probaly $15 for food. they screw you on paint. http://www.skirmish.com/scenario.html the rules are near the top. its basicaly a simple idea of a real battle. give or take a few details.

Hi Everyone. Let me try and clear a few things up for Stalingrad.

First off all air fills are free. As for how much money you should expect to spend that's a tough question. I feel it really comes down to how much paint you shot and if you decide to rent things like camo or buy food there.

The teams are split up as evenly as possible. Sure one side may have more than another by a few players but overall it should be fairly close. We try our best to keep them even during registration.

I personally am looking forward to Stalingrad. It always gets me pyched for summer and playing a lot of paintball. Especially if the weather is like it is now. This has been an awesome winter to paintball. There isn't even snow on the ground here in the Poconos.

I'm sorry if I missed any questions. If anyone has more questions just post them and I'll try and answer them or send us an email at info@skirmish.com.
