Demo thats funny i had a nice chuckle. tank under gun, i have a old BS gun that has the tank under the barrel and it wanst to bad, i couldnt see how it would hurt on say an A-5 or clone. you have a fore grip to balance out the weight for you, and or a stock.

"Imagine a CO2 cartridge gun, capable of getting 20 shots per air capsule, which can hit consistantly at 40 yards!"

One, I hate that company already, two, how did this get to be a discussion about paintball snipers?, three, I believe in paintball snipers, not as a "long range, one-shot, one kill" kind of sense, but as an ambush, as little shots as possible, and relocate kind of sense.  Everyone knows THAT can happen, so it's really just a term we are arguing over.

and i know my grammer sucks so  if you want to use it against me be my guest.

So by that definition, every person in every war past or present that has killed someone by only taking one shot is a sniper? Such as a grenadier who lobs a grenade into a building and kills someone with it?

Because of the limited accuracy of a paintball gun, taking as few shots as possible before relocating is a poor strategy. Two balls have twice as much chance to hit the other guy as one.

no look at statistics on how may rounds per kill in war, then you can understand what iam talking about, and how many of these one shot kills occured unseen and hidden, now a day even back then it was fire fights and trench warfare, everyone knew basic locations of enemy postions. and when people are getting shot at with an un known postions, its called sniper fire, no matter what gun the person is using. like when your walking down a street in a war and your opend up on and not knowing the postion they call it sniper fire. there is a reason for that, its a shooter shooting from a conceled location, but again i dont take sides on these stupid fights, half the people that argue it these days are little AGG mommy bought me my new dye kind of kids. who are proably like 13-16. whoe think volume is accuracy.

ok but truthfully... who cares lol.. i agree with everythign thats been said. but when it boild down to paintball who cares... u wanna be a paintball sniper be a paintball sniper.. why is this really causing such an issue lol. in the real world... paintball "sniping" and real sniping are completely different. so i can understand why people are all "theres no paintball snipers ra ra ra". and i personally agree. the general idea of what a sniper is/does, simply cant be recreated with paintball equip. however. knowing that, if someone wants to play with the mentality of using "sniper tactics" as in keeping hidden.. one hit kill etc etc. for the thrill of playing with a more challenging or just different approach? good on them... they wanna be paintball snipers? awesome.. who cares what people call themselves?

Go to google, type in "WTO Pepperball" and click the Youtube video link of the WTO riots in Seatle. You can see tons of riot cops using pro-carbines for marking and pepper-dispersion. Fair warning, the song has some explicit lyrics that plays with the video.

In an attempt to avoid the latest round of the "sniper" debate. I'll link to the previous debate that took place not long ago: Link

Enjoy 10 pages of flaming goodness!

Haha just watched the WTO pepperball movie. Thats hilarious. Is a
pepperball any different from a regular paintball? Im pretty sure that it is
just a normal paintball with pepper powder instead of paint. Anoyone

There are currently five types of PepperBalls available:

RED - Live PAVA (Capsaicin II) powder projectile
PURPLE - Scented inert powder projectile
CLEAR - Inert liquid projectile
WHITE - Glass-shattering projectile
GREEN - Dye marking projectile

PepperBalls are made from a hard plastic that resists extreme temperatures. The powder-filled projectiles have an operating temperature range of -30°F to 150°F. Under standard conditions of heat and cold, the projectiles will continue to function reliably; however, it should be noted that using the projectiles in cold weather could result in an increased pain penalty.
