Speaking of weird crap..... I'd like an extension for the stock of my A5.... something to fit between the stock I have and the rear mount of the gun...something that mounts to the gun then allows the stock to mount to it and make the complete rifle longer by only a few inches. any ideas ? Weird Crap 101 To switch my APE firing modes on the battlefield quickly... I use a Golf ball marker ... the little thing you use on the green to mark your ball spot while someone else is putting... "catch my drift ?" And a Band-Aid so the marker pokes through it and wraps around the end of the finger thats most comfortable.... damn quick change from single to full auto in a hurry ... "use the cloth band-aids they stick to sweaty hands"... Edited by General_Lee - 09 January 2007 at 12:04am |

When I got the urge to try playing pump again I picked up two Kingman Hammers used for $20 (one kind of worked and the other was inoperable with valve problems and a busted feedneck). I fixed one up with parts from the other and used it enough to get hooked on playing the occasional pump game but put it aside after I got my Phantom. I eventually repaired the broken one as well because I can't stand having a non-working marker in with my paintball stuff.
Then . . . I got bored over the last two weeks and started tinkering with one of the Hammers. After a little on-line shopping, a few trips to ACE Hardware and some extensive fiddling, I present the Ghetto Hammer. Pic 1-Overall view: The pump arm, original hopper, original grip and grip frame were already camoed when I got it, I camoed the other parts I added. I also dremeled a Spyder sight rail to fit and painted both the rail and body black. (I don't know why anyone would camo part of a marker and leave the rest shiney.) Pic 2-Close up of the stock which consists of a 12 gram quick changer with a PVC stock/extension attached. (I think that qualifies as ghetto.) Pic 3-Close up of 13 round feed tube made from PVC, a BE elbow and a broken straight elbow I that I forgot to throw away. The cap is a furniture cap held in place with elastic cord. (Definitely ghetto.) Pic 4-Overall view of alternate set-up: This adds the Ammo Box the marker came with and allows me to run constant air. Pic 5-Close up of constant air set-up: Just add a Lapco dual tank adapter, a couple of 90 degree fittings from ACE, an air hose from a broken Black Maxx and a spare ASA from another project and voila; constant air. Oops, I almost forgot; I replaced the stock barrel with a WWA Justice series barrel with Freak insert. (I had to remove the inner barrel sleeve to make it fit, but I'm sure it will be worth it once I get to play with it a few times.) Edited by Mack - 13 January 2007 at 7:23pm |
