There are tiny pieces of crystalized frozen water falling from the sky. Right now.

Is this supposed to happen?

What does this mean? Is this the end of the world?

I'm hiding in the pantry closet typing this.

Help me.

Oddly enough, I had meant to make a post asking how you were holding up.

Am I blind, or are there no tire tracks to get that hummer there?

There are tracks, somehow she missed the road by 12.5", took the driveway, and ended up there. i drug it 3.5', thats why there are no tracks. she had to call a wrecker to get the thing out. look farther to the left and you'll see em.

Behind it is my driveway, the road is to the left of it.

Also if you look at Bravecoward's picture, if you were to pan it a little more to the right, you'd see the terrifying office where I work.

At least I think so.

What is amazing to me is how people completely freak out when driving in the snow...

I grew up in NC and when they forecasted snow, everyone would rush to the grocery to get milk and bread. And trust me, I used to stock shelves, I can remember on more than one occurance spending hours in the cooler just filling the milk back up as the people on the other side acted like it was the last milk in the world.

I LOVED it when it snowed, I used to get out my camaro (with huge tires on the back no less) and go out to slide all over. It was a blast. My favorite was a parking lot near our house with no light poles. You could fly across it and just slide all over doing donuts and such. I have never wrecked in the snow, but I slide a lot. I just know what to do when it slide, and most people (because they never practiced I guess) freak out when the brakes don't stop you, or the car starts to slide.

I don't get it. Last night, my youngest had ballet practice and my wife HATES to drive in the snow, it really scares her when the car slides even an inch. So I came home and took her over there. Not much snow at all on the roads, but wow, were they slick. The key is to practically stop whenever you need to turn, and for goodness sakes don't tailgate. I was driving down our road (downhill) and saw a snow plow truck up ahead, he was down at the stop sign, and then I realized he was backing up the hill in my lane!

But, I was paying attention, and already "trying" to stop. My ABS was going nuts and it took about 150 feet to stop and I was only going about 20 mph.

Later I slid sideways pulling out of the practice hall. I just steered into it and pulled right out.

When we got home, my wife asked about the roads, and my daughter said they were Terrible, she said "but, Daddy had fun, every time the car would slide he would laugh and giggle".

Yeah, I love the snow. One of the best parts of living in Ohio. Especially if you have a garage, and don't have to get into a cold car, and scrape windshields.
They tremble at my name...
