1) snipers do not exist in paintball, stop listening to special ops paintball,.... they are nothing more than a B.S. advertising campaign, nothing they say is based on fact. 2) a 20 inch barrel is too long, any barrel over 14 inches has no greater increase in accuracy and the amount of air needed to propel the paintball increases (less air efficient). 14 to 12 inches is ideal. |

20" is completely unnecessary. 14" is the maximum length you should use. If you're looking for distance, check out the Flatline or Apex. Please do a search on the comparison of the two, as there have been far to many.

For accuracy, look into a barrel kit. For distance, look into an Apex or Flatline.

1) snipers do not exist in paintball . The practice does , but the reality is in your mind , If you can hit them , they CAN hit you..... there goes the sniper thing....... |

wow you do need help... try practicing tactics, a good gun that preferably uses a closed bolt system, and a good barrel with good paint to bore match makes for excelent accuracy. if you want to snipe people, play videogames, if you want a true test of skill, accuracy and unriveled adrenaline rush, continue playing paintball

wow so i suppose that stealth wouldnt matter either then? because them not hearing you shoot or seeing where you shot from doesnt matter, so i guess that you should just go out blazing in any general direction of another player |

Hmm well here is the definition of a sniper: NOUN:
Yes you can snipe in paintball for anyone who is not a sniper (in real life) what makes you think that you cant snipe in PB? i see no diffrence from what I do in PB and RL. except in PB i work alone in RL i work with another. so in pb (woodsball) i wear a gillie suit (so now im consealed) I take my shot from a distance.(they get tagged) Now i relocate. sounds like sniping to me. hmm and in real life. im concealed, I take my shot, and my spotter lets me know if we need to relocate. but their is no logic to sniping in speedball obviously. but im really curious to why people think you cant snipe in PB and im asumming this is coming from people who have no idea what it is to be a sniper. but please explain. |

Dense: a fitting term to describe someone who can't listen to reason or at least consider the other arguement. Troll: All the posts of yours that I've seen here have just been made to provoke a flame war. You are either dense because you are refusing to search, to come to a logical conclusion or you are a troll because you don't want to search as you are just trying to start a fight. |

well carl look at my post count its very small. most of us belong to other bogs, threads and whatever. im droping the note just to see the opinions of the people who would happen to look in here since this is of interest to them. no instigation intended. and as to being dense if you read the post above their isnt much to grab most of the people just said their is no snipng. but im starting to notice this site is full of fire. |

For the full definition of "Sniping" look up some old posts made by a member named "Old Soldier" , there you will find an exhaustive description of what sniping is,,, and what it is NOT.. OS also covers ambushes and other , more easily applicable tactics that (quite literally) apply to what people consider to be sniping in Paintball . There are many skills of stealth , cover , concealment that can and are used every day in paintball , thats part of the game . As I said , the practice exists , but the reality cannot . |

If your playing paintball and trying to be a "sniper" by hidding really well and taking a few well placed shots, then your bushwacking, not sniping. |

And you are pouring gasoline on it It should have been obvious through either searching or just looking at the first few posts that snipers are a touchy subject here. Oh and ibtl Edited by carl_the_sniper - 07 May 2007 at 3:42pm |
