Bamboo is a bad choice for a wood stock, you need something strong, while bamboo may not break, Its flexible and it does chip. It would probably be hard to buy a blank of bamboo big enough anyway. Just try buying a synthetic stock or a wood one off ebay and try your hand at it. It takes at leats 5 hours to fiinsh and a whole lot of patience.
