So I just signed a publishing contract for my first book.  Should be getting my royalty advance check in a couple of days, and the book will be on the shelves by late summer.

Yay for me!

YES RLY.

Actually, it's more like a booklet.  Advice for junior associates in law firms.  Not so excitinc unless you happen to be, well, a junior associate in a law firm (or a law student).

Not exactly a nailbiter.

:)

I was going to say I'd buy it, but seeing as how im goin to be goin to school for heavy equipment maintence I dont think it will help me much in my career choice, and plus I cant read so theres no point in it really. But for more important matters..............how much money you getting and who published it?

I shoot a Hoyt

Congratulations. I know I've been collecting notes and writing small pieces to my book for a few years now. It's much more difficult then ever expected.

Ah, unfortunately nobody is getting rich off this thing.  I figure I sell at most a thousand copies a year, and I probably make a dollar per sale (depends on final retail price).

So, no early retirement for me yet.

There is some sex in the book, but only ...ual harassment, unfortunately.

Next up, a self-help book.  That, and my epic fantasy novel that I've been working on for the last ten years.

My fantasy novel?  Mostly Norse Gods, vikings, and trolls.  Not so much in the current book.

You mean trolls can't get good schooling and become lawyers. That's a little racist don't you think?
