I thought someone tryed that with the ASA and said it didn't work.....I might be wrong though.

I tried that with the asa and it didn't do any good for me.  As for not heating up the tubing, I tried it both ways, and the noise is drastically reduced if you DO heat it up. :)

Running a stock and remote will decrease the noise the most.  Try it
