Meh, I don't see the point in spending $300 to buy something I wouldn't use, other than the fact I don't have $300 just lying around. I'd deffinately wait a couple runs even if I hear from everyone that it never runs out of air, never chops, and is light as a feather-I simply don't trust SP quality control. Either way, I look forward to a review Gewwy. The only thing is, most guns don't have break in periods, and I doubt the ION has one, especially when SP says it doens't. But 1,050 isn't bad off a 68/4500, about 50% better than a Matrix, non-HE bolt Shockers, and Automags. About on par with a 'cocker, little worse than a timmy.
I'm also starting to have this strange sensation...I kinda like it...hopefully that will fade-or the gun will be really good. |

im undecided about this gun, unsure if i think it looks good or not, kinda in the mid bout that. Price is definitly good, but obviously before i even think about buying a sp gun i want to wait a while and wait for the reviews coming in. Not goin to give in to the hype just yet.

I have given in to the hype. I figured if it sucks I take a $20 loss on ebay, but, if its awesome sweet, because otherwise I won't have one for another month. SP guns aren't crap, but I guess its your opinion against mine. But, judging by Smart Parts history, no one will remake the Ion.. Edited by Gewwy |

Lol, yeah, don't forget the HKs, the "cheap plastic" pieces our SF boys use Plastic is an extremely general term kids, and not all of it is "cheap," just ask the medical or areospace industries. |

Keep thinking that. The Ion's shell is not ABS plastic. Also, HK's guns are well know for the stocks breaking, go to HKPro.com if you're interested. Either way, as I said, we'll see...I think quality control is gonna be down the toilet on this... |

First year SP guns usually do have some problems, but by the 2nd year they are gone. I don't agree with what SP has attempted to do in our sport, they do make a quality product. They are taking shocker tech and trying to take over the lowend market. I say give it a year and this gun will be leading sales in that price range.
