The closest sniper type barrel in existent...is the Flatline, all the others will not come close to what the Flatline can accomplish.

Besides paying the price tag on the Flatline, be prepared to purchase quality balls in order fer the Flatline to work to your advantage.

I would go for the flatline, if you have the barrel and velocity set just right, it will produce very good results.  However, if the flatline is outside your price range, my next choice would be a lapco bigshot.  It is a very good barrel for the price.  Hope this helps you and good luck.

Get an accurate and quiet barrel (AA, Lapco is accurate, but not so quiet) and some good camo.  When they blow the whistle, run your butt off and hide in some bushes... I hope you're patient.  Sniping in paintball isnt so much about range, its about being silent, still, patient, knowing which shots to take (And when) and being in the right place at the right time.

Flatlines are verynice, great brush penetration and exclent distance. Use Marbalizers or other hard shell small diameter paint. Small??? Trust me they work gerat in a flatline.

Tuning the flatline can be a right pain- mine is still finnicky, but a Stabilizer and some range time should solve that. Once that's done, though, it's incredible in the woods. The flat trajectory is far and away its biggest advantage in vegetation. The long distance is great too, in game like 'attack the fort' and such, where you get some nice long range defensive shots...

They arent better. Its more preference. The All-American barrel is a good barrel, its a two peice so you can change the size. The freak is similar but you also have inserts, so you can match it to your paint, increasing accuaracy. The All-American and Freak are more speedball like barrels. From you saying you wanted to be a "sniper", you probably play woods so I wouldnt suggest them. I would go with the flatline.
You call the Eagle, Eagle does the rest.

I have a standerd A-5 flatline and it works perfectly. I dont even use great paint i mostly use 32 degrees team collors and i love the accuracy and distence.

Trust me the A-5 flatline is a great upgrade for woods ball, especially if u want to attemp to become a "sniper" I recomend for ur first game u bring ur velocity adjusting wrench though so u can get the velocity good.

If u havent already read the sticky on flatline, read it, he knows wat hes talking about.

You probably want a Lapco or Smart Parts barrel( 12,14,16,18 inch).

Flatline. The range is just dominating.

By the way everyone, I read an interview with Chuck Stoner, and I have to admit, he actually gives the best argument for being a paintball sniper. I never considered myself a sniper or anything, I just play whatever position I'm in the mood for, but I always saw the cause and understood the arguments snipers make. After reading what Chuck had to say, all the people who say there is no such thing as a paintball sniper can just quiet themselves.
