i just bought the tippmann 98 custom , i was wondering if it is normal that the elbow moves about .5mm when you kinda shake the gun. the part near the front sight. THANKS, also i was wondering about flatline barrels, i know with balls the better the bore the better they work with the barrel, i dont feel like spending like $40 for 1000 paintballs, is it worth it, and do practice grade and other lesser quality balls work fine enough for playing |

Yes, it is normal that it moves around. Put an o-ring around the feedneck to prevent this. Or just put like three pieces of electrical tape right under where the paint feeds. I have heard that the flatline isn't as picky on paint as people say it is but I'm not sure if that is true. I think Zaps would work pretty well. They are only $30 for a case of 2000.

No problem. It isn't always about quality of paint with barrels, it is about paint to bore size.

The "O" ring solution works. As for the paint, small diameter is what is needed. Uniform paint shoots better in any barrel, so the correct size good quality. But I find that Diablo Heat shoots exceptionally well...nearly as well as All Star and close to Marballizer. And 888paintball.com has an ongoing sale of 5 cases of Heat for $150. That is $30 a case. My son and I have been using it almost exclusively now since January. We have few breaks in the barrel and shot to shot consistency is really good on the speedball course. |
