a couple quetions for anyone who might know abou
flatline barrels.....

Q #1: Does the elivated barrel on the 98' flatline
model affect the hoppers loading speed?

Q #2:What if i want to install a sight rail on my 98' is
that going to be possible if i install the flatline barrel?

Q #3:does the flatline have any direct affect on the
balls accuracy or speed?

Q #4: Will the range/accuracy be affected if i decide
to use Nitro?

Q #4: Will there e any complications if i use an
e-trigger make the gun automatic or to shoot in
bursts?

Q #5: wil a regular barrell cleaner work alright if a bal
explodes in the chamber?

1: no

2: yes but hopper may get in way

3: accuracy increases because of the further distance given by the flatline

4: no

5: no

6 (you should have a six instead in place of that five and a five in place of a four)     back to the question, yes

the shroud has slits in the sides to fit a sight like i put my red dot sight on it. My Halo B is big compared to a regular hopper, so you might be ok.

Just like robocop said above, there is a sight rail molded into the shroud.  Since the shroud is plastic though, you have to be careful not to overtighten anything attached to it.  My Daisy Max View red dot set just a little to far forward for my taste when I mounted it.  I had to angle the hopper a bit, so they wouldn't touch.  I didn't like that so I used a Dremel to extend the rails back about a quarter of an inch.

Q #1: Does the elivated barrel on the 98' flatline
model affect the hoppers loading speed? no it has no affect on shooting speed, chops, or hopper speed.

Q #2:What if i want to install a sight rail on my 98' is
that going to be possible if i install the flatline barrel? all sight rails that will fit on the 98s original rail will fit on the flatline shroud.

Q #3:does the flatline have any direct affect on the
balls accuracy or speed? you will notice it is not quite as accurate as a normal barrel because of the further away target, and all of the variables that affect flight. and its just as fast but it does sustain speed longer because less air resistance due to backspin.

Q #4: Will the range/accuracy be affected if i decide
to use Nitro? not at all. if anything, the better consistancy will cause range and accuracy to stay similar.

Q #4: Will there e any complications if i use an
e-trigger make the gun automatic or to shoot in
bursts? no. the barrel does not affect the max shooting speed or cause more barrel breaks at a faster speed. if your hopper cant keep up, you will get chops which will cause breaks in the barrel.

Q #5: wil a regular barrell cleaner work alright if a bal
explodes in the chamber? regular squeegees will not get all of the paint out of the barrel. it will leave behind some reminances of paint which may cause more breaks, or swerves. fluffy or swab squeegges are the best for it.
