So has anyone had any near death experiences that are interesting to
talk about. I have a few. This one time my friends and I were in the
woods and we had gotten pretty far in. Then we had gotten a little lost
and we saw the train tracks. So instead of trying to get through the
part of the woods we were at which was very thick with thorns and
bushes and just impossible to get through we decide to follow the
tracks out because we knew where they lead. As were walking someone
chuckles and says " I bet we get hit". About 10 minutes later somoene
looks back and sees a train right behind us and we all run and jump
into sewage
. I have no idea how we didn't hear it. It didn't make a sound. We were lucky that day.Another time I was walking somewhere and not paying attention and as I was crossing the street this car was speeding down it. She must have figured I saw here but I didn't and she didn't stop and I got slammed with the mirror of her car. One more step and I would've been smeared all over the pavement. Once when I was sledding my uncle had made a jump and was "here you try it first". So he hands be a tiny saucer ment for a 4 year old. As I'm going down I pick up some speed. I hit the jump only to notice he had built it right on a drop off so I'm about 6 feet in the air going pretty fast and I lost control in the air and flip and land on my neck. I couldn't move or breath for a bit. I have had bad neck problems ever since. When I was younger I had gotten a disease that close the airway. I don't remember what it was called but by the time I got to the hospital my airway was nearly closed. They said I had died for a few seconds and then came back. The rest aren't really worth talking about. So anyone else have an interesting experiences? |

I see people die a couple times a month. as for myself, I have been known to run into burning buildings. Nothing like seing flames roll over your head to make you remember that we are all mortals. |

Ha I rememeber one about some people in the woods or something and he and his friends in a van. Well, I was at a state park and there was this canyon dealy thingy and i was up on top of it. We spotted some pretty cool rocks and we went out to climb them. When I climbed one that was hanging over the edge, I slipped on some slime/algae and started sliding down the rock. I barely caught myself about 3-4 feet from the edge. It was about a 60-70ft drop i'd say so I would've been a real hassle to clean up. |

Ya kinda...Well I was riding my ATV through my woods following behind my friends ryan and patrick. Well I came around a corner and stupid cut it too close to the inside and my right tire caught the site of a tree causing me to twist the handle bars to the left while flying over them. Well after do a complete flip and twist I landed on my ass against a tree with my legs up on the air and guess what was coming right for me....yep the atv and it crashed right into m legs, luckilly somehow I managed to accidently hit the kill switch with my left hand causing th atv to slow down bfore it hit me but the big thing i the end was if that tree hadn't been there I would have fallen off a cliff 40 feet down and had the atv land smack dab on top of me probably kill me. I did sprain my wrist but other than that I was just a lil shooken up in the end

Yep, motorcycle accident. I saw my life flash infront of my eyes as I
reached the apex of my flight (power line height) then landed on my
head and was almost ran over by another car.
Then one time I saw the Grim Reaper when I had a lil problem with some white stuff one weekend. I havent touched that stuff ever since. I still ride tho. I still own my second bike I bought a few months after my accident, an 83 Yamaha Maxim. I dont drive it much but I will allways have a motorcycle, its in my blood I guess. |

Yeah about a year ago my family went climbing on a small part of the grand canyon (awsome place) and i was about 10m away top from the of this big ledge where everything was hooked up and i saw a rope that connects to you fall down the side of me .At first i thought it was a joke but then i realised it was mine my heart went mad (it already was going really fast) i didnt move until i had another rope thrown down to me i had to tie it in myself. After that it makes you realise how much your life means to you.My parents sued the company and we got around £18000 for it which is in an savings account until im 18.
Well worth it though

It's a good thing you weren't falling. If you're being paid to take someone climbing, screwing up a belay line should never happen. |

You all heard about that CO2 tank that unscrewed from the valve and killed that woman right? Same thing happened to me when I was unscrewing a 20oz from my friends gun. The valve started detaching from the tank and I didn't notice. My friend saw it and pointed it out as I was about to finish unthreading it. It had a couple more turns on it before it would have came completely off. It was heading straight for my balls.

I remember Enos had this story about how he and a friend were driving to a paintball field with a bunch of CO2 tanks in the van with them. It was a hot day, so the tanks got hot, the pressure built up, and one of the burst discs ruptured on one of the tanks. He said they were almost unconscious by the time they pulled the van off the road.

^ Yeah it sucks waking up from surgery and the first thing you do is
puke. *Stupid nurse made me bruch my teeth right before I went under
the knife, and well the rest is history... puked all over myself. I was
more embarased than anything. Yeah I told on the nurse too.
2 days of puking must of really sucked. I bet it hurt like heck too. |
