ion or electra

i personally like spyders, but here are the cold hard facts: spyders suck, unless you put a crap load of cash into them, which is what im doing. anyway, here are the facts i know for each gun. enjoy.

Spyder Electra ACS:
-(important) NOT tournament legal. rocking trigger frames are not legal in tournaments
-anti-chop really doesnt work too great, wears out after a while
-spyders are gas and battery hogs!
-new ones have eyes, so if you do get the spyder, get the newest model
-spyders are known to be somewhat unreliable.
-all spyders are extraordinarily upgradable

Ion: (no personal experience)
-decent gun out of the box.
-eyes and magnetic trigger
-hpa or nitro almost required, but can run (poorly) on co2
-100$ more than spyder
-vere customizable with many upgrades

conclusion: if your willing to spend the dough, get the ion. if your just rec-ballin or an on-off player, get the spyder. stock ion for 300$ is probably as good as a 200$ spyder with a hundred dollars worth of ups. your choice.

both are pretty good. Try both of them out before you pick. That way you can pick the one you like the best.

Never run an ion on CO2. The ion has its problems too. Not all spyders are unreliable. Most of the newer ones are ok, I haven't had any problems out of the ones I've shot.

NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

Go for the Ion.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Get the Ion. And the Electra's can't shoot 30 bps. First off, the Solenoid's on them probably can't handle much over 20 bps, let alone 30. So right there goes the 30 bps...

A-5s arent bad if you up them like mad...like egrip/was/ape board/apex/flatline/reg,etc.....

	definitely get the ion, spyders from wat i have heard seem to have alot of ball breakage, and i dont kno i think the ion is the better buy.

	I have owned a Spyder in the past, and it wasn't a bad gun. Here is the deal-breaker, however. Spyder = sear tripper electro Ion = TRUE ELECTROPNEUMATIC; same technology as a Shocker. I am not a fan of sear trippers, as they fail far too easily. This is why I no longer own an A-5.
