Ok I got the idea from the other thread.
I have been pulled over twice in my 2 years of driving. #1 Going to pick someone up from school at a 3 way stop sign. I am going the direction where I have to turn left or right. The person in front of me stops so I stop right behind them. They go so I move up to the stop sign. Dont hit the gas or anything just let off the brake and let it go. Its is now my turn to go, so I turn right. As I turn right, I see a cop coming from that direction. I didnt think I did anything wrong but I still turn on the next street because that is they way to my friends house. About 2 min and a few streets down, the cop pulls me over and wonders why I "blew" that stop sign. I get the talk about how driving isnt a right its a privledge. Get off with a warning. #2 Yay for getting two tickets for going from the left lane, to the right lane, and back to the left lane without a turn signal. Unsafe lane change and failure to use turn signal. The cop must of been about 200-300 feet ahead of me driving the same direction during the night. What was he doing watching so closely in his rear view mirror for? He then slows down on top of the bridge he is going over and waits for me to pass him. I have to pass him because there is no where to turn off and he is going like 10 mph in a 55 zone. Pulls me over and gives me the talk that he can give me reckless driving and that he should arrest me right now. Ends up giving me those 2 tickets and said he wants to give me speeding but he cant prove that... Alright sure, I was driving a little fast and passed a car by going to the other lane and back, but it wasnt anything close to an accident or anything unsafe. $215.00 Edited by pntbl freak - 22 September 2006 at 7:50pm |

I'm assuming routine stops dont count.
1) Speeding, 110kmh in a 70kmh zone. Didnt even get a warning, which was good times. 2) Cop looking for a white van that was swerving, etc...and I was driving a blue tercel..... 3) After being 19 for an hour, I got pulled over for listening to "What Is Love?" with 2 friends in my car, as loud as possible, windows down. They pulled us over, could smell my friend had been drinking, assumed it was me, since I was the one smiling like an idiot and nodding at them when we passed them. Made me get out/ get in the back of the police truck and made me do a breathalizer, I blew a zero to his surprise and he let me go. 4) Speeding again, driving to Dawson City, Yukon for a music fest. Caught at 128 kmh in a 90kmh, I got an $86 ticket for it. |

5+ times. Dead serious.
Only 2 tickets though, one for 5 over (said I was doing 15 but wrote me for 5), and one for "failing to stop in a safe distance" for my accident. Both were within 3 months of eachother... but ever since then (Feb), not a single infraction. Other times werent because I was breaking a law )suspicious activity- driving down a dirt road at 2 AM) , or just a minor infraction (expired tags). As for the cop watching you in his rearview mirror, thats how the cop I rode with pulled over the lady for the tags, because in Texas we have them in the front. I have yet to be pulled over while I have my license.
But, while I was pulling into the DMV to go take the driving test, i got pulled over for riding on the soulder. Let me off with a warning as a birthday present |

My insurance doesnt go up if you get a ticket or anything. The company never sees the ticket. It will only cost you more if you are applying for new insurrance with a different company or something like that. Then it will cost more. |

Once, last school year, got a ticket for 45 in a 35, that used to be a 40 but they recently changed the limit, so everybody still goes 40-45 so I didn't pay any attention to what I was doing.
Tonight I had a little runin with the cops after attemting to go camping with a bunch of people. Kind of sucked badly because we had to make way through about 2 miles of solid dark, very hilly forest at 11:30 at night. |

^^^ There is a reason for mini-portable generators or 20-Million-Candle Power Spotlights.. if it's nighttime, make it day.

None, especially being from Los Angeles. Now that I am in Mississippi for the time being I have to be wary about my "California Rolls".
