Hi everyone, as the topic says, I am currently thinking of upgrading to an HPA tank. however I have a couple questions. Also, I run a remote so the weight of the tank does not really matter much to me, and I dont want to spend an arm and a leg getting a tank. The reason I say this is that I know a steel 3k tank will cost much less than a fiber 4.5k, so would you guys say its a good idea for me to get just a 3k steel tank? Finally, what size/brand would you all suggest? again remember I run remote and dont care much about the weight of the tank, I just want to know what you all would say is the best deal in terms of what I would need. thank you for any help or suggestions you can provide Edited by Snick - 30 November 2006 at 9:37pm |

A-5s vary widely in their gas consumption. What do you get out of a 20 oz.? You would run low on gas when your tank pressure drops below what the gun needs to operate correctly (700-800 area). A steel 3k will hold very little air. Spend more, and you get more capacity and less weight. DO NOT CHEAP OUT. A 47/3k would get you 2 hoppers, maybe. Crossfire or PMI. |

If you are carrying it on your back then go for a large tank...such as an 80/4500 or 90/4500. They are available used through Ebay usually for much less than say a 68/4500 because most people don't want a tank that big attached to the marker...so demand is less and the resale price may be much lower...mine was.

whats the diffrence between a "nitro remote" and a regular one? I havent seen any remotes made specially for HPA, so an example of one would be nice.

the 3kpsi means that the line has a burst-strength of 3,000psi that's all. And if you're putting 3kpsi into your marker... well.... you've got a lot more to worry about than your remote.

I saw a video where this guy ran almost 3k (scuba tank, direct hookup, regulator wide-open) direct to his automag. It worked. I was amazed.
Almost 3k cause the tank was not completely full, and every shot decreased the pressure slightly. Ill try to find the link. |
