That makes sense...

I mean, I don't deny that it's possible that he was detained for a long period, it's happened... but sent to Syria and tortured...call me naiive, but I need the proof.
Yea Linus - Canada shelled out 10.2 million, just for the hell of it.

Canada =/= USA.

Again, just because CANADA pays him, and a couple of representatives say sorry, I didn't see anything concrete.

And MBD, I know what it's called, I can read the article just as well as you can. Your words mean nothing to me. Again, we send someone to our ENEMY so that they can help US, THEIR ENEMY. This makes sense to you?

I'm betting the 10 mil will be mostly spent on therapy and anti-depressants.

the said thing is, is that this happens a lot. (well not along the same guidelines with the whole wrong guy thing)

it's illegal to torture people in teh US so they will send them somewhere were it is legal. It's sick, I know, and some of the criminals are just as sick, but sometimes it just seems like they push it to the max.

Let's not pretend this is just US, this is everywhere.  Not saying it's right, but to pull the American corrupt card is naive...

Hell, The military will send people through SERE school for a almost two months.  My AIT instructor had both his forefingers broke during interrogation when he was joining a special forces unit.

HTY, exactly.

I don't like how the BBC makes it seem like it was the US' idea, when they don't offer any evidence (except for a couple of apologies) and Canada is the one that ends up paying him... meaning they probably had a big hand in the matter.

Linus- Don't get me wrong, I think the US knew exactly what it was doing, but it goes on everywhere.  You can't change it, just don't be under the impression that the US is the only country that does it...

That is no where close what I was trying to come off as having said.

I know many countries do it... but no one else thinks it's weird that
A) We get help from our ENEMY WILLINGLY
and
B) Canada was the one that paid the money, but we apologized?
