TL;DR:  17 year-old thought running onto the field during a game in Philadelphia was a good idea and an overweight cop who didn't fell like chasing him broke out the taser.  Police chief is supporting the cop, Phillies management are questioning the need for that level of force and some liberal sports writer is getting all whiny about it; yada, yada, yada.

Personal thoughts:  If you don't like being shocked keep your stupid butt off the field.  (Oh and the police need to improve their fitness standards.)
